Kampala overview
Kampala is the capital of Uganda and is by far the largest city in the country with over 1.8 million inhabitants.
The metropolis of Kampala is only a few kilometers away from Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa. As the capital, Kampala is the center of the Ugandan highway network and has been linked by a two-lane motorway, the Entebbe-Kampala Expressway, since 2018. Entebbe International Airport, the only international airport in the country, is located in Entebbe, around 40 kilometers away.
