Entebbe at a glance: The city of Entebbe is located about 40km west of Kampala on a peninsula in Lake Victoria.

Entebbe is the former capital of Uganda and was the administrative seat of the country until 1962. Therefore, there are still some ministries in Entebbe today. The city has been connected to Kampala since 2018 by the Entebbe-Kampala Expressway, a two-lane highway. Entebbe International Airport, the only international airport in Uganda, is located in Entebbe.
