On the way in Jinja: Walk along the Nile and the Nile Bridge, an old railway bridge and pedestrian bridge with a great view of the new Nile Bridge.
The city of Jinja is located almost 100 kilometers east of the capital Kampala. A trip to Jinja for a few days is definitely worth it, because there is a lot to discover here in Jinja. On the one hand, Jinja is located on the Nile and also on Lake Victoria. Or rather: Here at Jinja, the Nile leaves Lake Victoria. And rafting or bungee jumping is also possible here in Jinja.
Of course, you can also go a little more quietly, for example in the form of a walk along the Nile and crossing the Nile bridge. We are talking about the “old” Nile Bridge, a former railway bridge that is still used today as a pedestrian bridge. From here you also have a great view of the 525 meter long Nile Bridge, which opened in 2018, the Source of The Nile Bridge, also known as the New Jinja Bridge.
